Chemistry in the News (Due the 15th of each month)
“Why do we have to learn this?” is a question that teachers often hear from students. The objective of the science in the news report is to show you how relevant science is to your daily life. Even if you do not chose to become a doctor or forest ranger it is my hope as a teacher that you will always understand that science has a very real and important connection to your life.

End of Unit Project: STEM/Chemistry Careers
STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) skills are foundational. That means once you know them, you have the groundwork to build specialized knowledge. Even if you're not planning to become a scientist or engineer, basic scientific and investigative methods can be applied to a wide variety of career fields. Do you know which STEM skills can be applied to your chosen career?
TASK: You will create a brochure presentation on a health career of your choice. You will then be expected to prepare a 10 minute PowerPoint Presentation.
